(HURON-KINLOSS TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 11, 2017 at approximately 7:13 p.m., South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended a private property located on Bruce Road 6, Huron-Kinloss Township, in response to a male who had been injured by a horse.

Police investigation revealed the male was attempting to unhitch the horse from a buggy when the horse was spooked and ran off. The male was reported to have been kicked in the chest, resulting in fatal injuries.

The deceased male has been identified as 21-year-old, Reuben BAUMAN of Gladstone, Manitoba.

Next of kin have been notified and the police investigation is complete, foul play is not suspected.
