The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public about an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

On Sunday, August 20, 2017, Durham Regional Police Service received a call for a sexual assault.

It is alleged that:

  • on Sunday, August 20, 2017, a 25-year-old woman was leaving a downtown Toronto nightclub in the Cherry Street and Polson Street area
  • a man approached her, posing as an Uber driver, and asked if she needed a ride
  • the woman entered the man’s car, a red, four-door 2017 Toyota Camry
  • the man then sexually assaulted the woman on the drive home

On Monday, August 21, 2017, Muhammad Fahad, 33, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) Theft Under

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 10 a.m., room 507.
