Photograph of man wanted in bomb threat investigation

UPDATE 2:

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance locating a man wanted in a bomb threat investigation.

On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 1:55 p.m., officers responded to a call for a bomb threat at Bloor-Yonge subway station.

On Monday, August, 28, 2017, Jonathan Fox, 30, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Threatening Death
2) Mischief – Interfere with Lawful Use of Property Under $5000
3) Mischief – Interfere with Lawful Operation of Property Over $5000

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Monday, August 28, 2017, 10 a.m., room 501.

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance locating a man wanted in a bomb threat investigation.

On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 1:55 p.m., officers responded to a call for a bomb threat at Bloor-Yonge subway station.

It is reported that:

  • a man was on the southbound Yonge line train
  • the train was crowded
  • the man announced to the people on board that he had a bomb and would blow up the train
  • this forced the evacuation of the train in an unsafe manner
  • he was last seen leaving the station in the midst of the crowd

Security camera images of the man are now released.
