OPP seek help to identify deceased female cyclist in Bear Creek Rd accident

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On August 1, 2017, at approximately 5:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Emergency medical Services (EMS) and the Middlesex Centre Fire Service responded to a collision on Bear Creek Road, between Sinclair Drive and Ivan Drive.

A female cyclist travelling southbound on Bear Creek Road was struck by a southbound vehicle. The female cyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 20-year-old, male driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

The Middlesex County OPP has been working diligently to identify the cyclist and notify a next-of-kin. Unfortunately, police have been unable to identify the cyclist.

The Middlesex OPP is requesting the media’s and public’s assistance in identifying the cyclist.

The cyclist is described as a female, 50-60 years of age, 5’1″ tall, 95 pounds, with grey/blonde hair. The bicycle involved in the collision is a dark blue/black Norco, model Bush Pilot bicycle, with a distinctive water bottle holder.
