Police are investigating after an 8-year-old Pickering girl was approached by a suspicious male in a Pickering supermarket.

On Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at approximately 6:55 p.m., an 8-year-old girl was shopping with her mother at the Blue Sky Supermarket. The girl was in the candy aisle while her mother was in the next aisle. She was approached by a male who asked her if she wanted candy and to come to his car. The girl immediately ran back to her mother.

The suspicious person is described as: light-skinned black male in his teens, approximately 6′ tall, thin build and wearing a black baseball hat, grey t-shirt, shorts and black boots.

Investigators would like to speak to the male or anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
