An 18-year-old male faces numerous charges after fleeing from police on Thursday morning in Scugog.

On Thursday, August 24, 2017, at approximately 2:30 a.m., members from North Division were conducting speed enforcement and observed a Honda Civic driving at a high rate of speed westbound on Reach Street, east of North Port Road in Scugog. The officers activated their emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop and the vehicle refused to stop. The vehicle continued driving at a very high rate of speed and even driving through a residential backyard on Foster Drive in Uxbridge Township. The pursuit was terminated for safety reasons. Officers were able to identify the driver and he was later arrested without incident as he returned to his residence.

Travis RAHM, age 18, of Scugog Line 14 in Scugog, is charged with: Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle; Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Marihuana); Fail to Stop for Police and Mischief under $5000. He was later released on a promise to appear.
