(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit, with the assistance of front line members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP, charged five parties recently in relation to a drug trafficking investigation in Collingwood.

The arrests were made on August 17, 2017 when officers conducted a vehicle stop where four parties were arrested for drug offences. This vehicle stop led officers to conduct a search warrant on a residence on Dawson Drive where a fifth person was arrested. The investigation also led to the seizure of heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and approximately $9,500 in Canadian currency.

Charged are:

28 year-old Samantha VIGUS of Collingwood. She is charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on September 12, 2017.

25 year-old Kendra HEWITT of Wasaga Beach, she is charged with Possession of Heroin and Fail To Comply With Recognizance. She was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on August 18, 2017.

27 year-old Sarah KLEINSMITH-GRAVES of Wasaga Beach, she is charged with Possession of Heroin and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on September 12, 2017.

33 year-old Kyle HUGHSON of Innisfil, he is facing a charge of Possession of Heroin. He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on August 18, 2017.

37 year-old Jeffrey YOUNG of Clearview Township, he is facing charges of Possession of Heroin and Fail to Comply With Probation Order. He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on August 18, 2017.
