Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 21-year-old man following a stabbing in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, August 9, 2017, a victim attended #4 District Headquarters, located at 2700 Rutherford Road to report that he had been stabbed. The victim, a 21-year-old man from the City of Vaughan, had been treated for his stab wounds in hospital prior to arriving at the police station.

Investigators were able to determine that the victim had met with the suspect outside of a school located at 80 Murray Farm Lane, on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at approximately 7 p.m. An altercation occurred and the suspect stabbed the victim then fled on foot. The victim drove himself to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

• Kelvin GROSSI, 21, City of Toronto

Charges:

• Assault With a Weapon

Mr. GROSSI has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on September 7, 2017.
