Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after receiving seven reports of dismembered animals that were discovered in the north west area of Kitchener since June, 2017.

On July 11, 2017, a dismembered cat was found in the area of Wolfes Court and Carson Drive in Kitchener. Another was found on August 8, 2017 in the area of Champlain Drive and Carson Drive in Kitchener. Two other cats were discovered in the Lancaster Street area of Kitchener in June. Other remains have been found in the area of Carson Drive.

Currently, investigators are trying to confirm what type of animal the remains belong to. Waterloo Regional Police are working with the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society to determine what happened to the animals and what caused their death.
