Investigators arrested several suspects after executing search warrants early Wednesday morning in Toronto and Mississauga.

On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, members of DRPS Tactical Support Unit with the assistance of Toronto Police Services Emergency Task Force executed four search warrants in Toronto and one in Mississauga. These search warrants were part of project Metamora, an investigation into a violent home invasion in Ajax on January 19, 2017.

Officers were able to arrest the suspects responsible for the home invasion and seized a loaded Glock 9mm handgun with an over-capacity magazine, one air pistol, ammunition, cocaine, currency and cell phones.

The following suspects were arrested for the home invasion:

Justin ACHEAMPONG, age 22 of Orpington Crescent in Toronto, is charged with: Break and Enter; Robbery; Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable offence; Forcible Confinement; Possession of Weapon for Purpose of Committing an Offence; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2 (Cocaine/Heroin); Possession of a Controlled Substance x2 (Cocaine/Heroin) and Possession Proceeds of Crime over $5,000.

Dontee GOLDING, age 24 of Priory Crescent in Mississauga, is charged with: Break and Enter; Robbery; Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence; Forcible Confinement; Point a Firearm; Possession of Weapon for Purpose of Committing an Offence and Possession of Weapon Contrary to Order.

Ambrose CAMPBELL, age 26 of Victoria Park Road in Toronto, is charged with: Break and Enter; Robbery; Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable offence; Forcible Confinement; Point a Firearm and Possession of Weapon for Purpose of Committing an Offence.

The following suspects were charged with offences as a result of the search warrants:

Bryant ACHEAMPONG, age 24 of Orpington Crescent in Toronto, is charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2 (Cocaine/Heroin); Possession of a Controlled Substance x3 (Cocaine/Heroin/Cannabis); Possession Proceeds of Crime over $5,000 and Possession Contrary to Order.

Joneil RICHARDSON, age 20 of Pittsboro in Toronto, is charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine); Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cannabis); Unlicenced Person Possess Prohibited/Restricted Weapon and Possession of a Prohibited /Restricted Weapon .

All parties were held for bail hearings.
