An 18-year-old student from G.L. Roberts Secondary School in Oshawa is recovering in hospital after being stabbed during a fight after school.
On Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at approximately 3:50 p.m., officers were called to the area behind G.L. Roberts Secondary School on Chaleur Avenue. Two males were engaged in an altercation near the football field after school and during the fight, one male was stabbed. The suspect ran from the area. Officers searched the area for the suspect but no arrests were made.
The 18-year-old male victim was rushed to nearby hospital for treatment for what was thought to be minor injuries, but he was later transferred to a Toronto trauma centre for surgery. He remains in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
The suspect is described as a male, black, 16-19 years old, 6′ tall, wearing a red coat and black pants.
