Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation into a fatal collision involving two vehicles.

On Thursday September 14, 2017, at approximately 1:13 a.m., a collision occurred involving an SUV and car near the intersection of Bristol Road and Mavis Road in the City of Mississauga.

The passenger in the SUV a 66 year-old Mississauga resident was pronounced at the scene. The driver a 58 year-old Mississauga resident was transported to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.  He is currently in critical condition.

The driver of the car, Azar SHEIKH, a 31 year-old male from Milton was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. SHEIKH has been charged with the following: Impaired Operation Cause Death, Impaired Operation Cause Bodily Harm, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

SHEIKH will be appearing at the Grenville & William Davis Court House today, Thursday September 14, 2017, for a bail hearing in relation to his charges.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have witnessed the collision, have dashboard video footage of the incident or who may have information regarding the actions of the drivers prior to the collision.
