LONDON, ON (September 29, 2017) – On Thursday, September 28, 2017, at approximately 3:00 am, London Police were called to a parking lot in the area of Florence Street at Egerton Street after a three-year-old child was found wandering alone. The investigation revealed the mother of the child had entered a building nearby at approximately 10:30 pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, without the young child.

The child did not require medical attention. Children’s Aid Society was contacted, and the child was moved to a safe place.

The mother of the child was charged with leave child unattended, contrary to section 79(3) of the Child and Family Services Act.

To protect the identity of the child, name of the accused cannot be released.
