On Monday, September 11, 2017, at around 6 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a collision on Hespeler Road in Cambridge.

A Markham man was stopped on the right shoulder of Hespeler Road facing north in a 2011 black Toyota Corolla. He allegedly made a U-turn in front of a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle, which was being driven by a 56-year-old Cambridge man heading north on Hespeler Road. The two vehicles collided.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to an out-of-town hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old male, has been charged with Careless Driving.
