(CHATHAM, ON) On August 31, 2017 around 3:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 401 near Charing Cross Road.

The complainant reported an eastbound motorcycle had used the emergency turn around to conduct a U-turn and began heading westbound on highway 401. Police located and stopped the motorcycle. During the investigation, Police recovered three stolen motor vehicles and stolen property.

As a result, the male driver, Luc BOUCHARD, 32-years-old of Windsor, Ontario has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x 4, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada,
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, and
  • Flight while pursued by peace officer, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

 

Upon further investigation, Paul HINDS, 38-years-old of Brampton, Ontario and Jeffery MACINNIS, 22-years-old of Thorold, Ontario have also been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x 4, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

All three accused were held for a bail hearing.
