In September of 2017 members of the Special Investigative Services Morality Unit commenced a drug investigation targeting a male who was believed to be operating a cocaine trafficking enterprise within the region.

On Wednesday September 13, 2017 the investigation concluded with the execution of four Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants and the arrest of four persons.  

During the course of the investigation police seized 118 grams of cocaine, 97 grams of cannabis resin, related trafficking paraphernalia including scales, packaging materials, cutting agents and cellular devices.  Police also seized a prohibited device (over capacity magazine) and several rounds of ammunition.  Police also seized a 2012 Hyundai Sonata automobile as offence related property.

Corey Scott and Andrew MacDonald were held in custody for a bail hearing that took place today at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Catharines.  Tara Baker and Shawn Langendoen were released from custody with a future court date to answer to these allegations.
