(HEARST, ON) –  On July 30, 2017, at 8:30 p.m., members of the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Hearst responded to a call involving a suspicious male at a baseball field near Brisson Boulevard. The male approached the youth while they retrieved a baseball at the treeline of the field.

The male is described as having a dark complexion, late 20’s/early 30’s, wearing all black clothing including a black toque and blue Nike shoes.

A Forensic Artist with OPP Forensic Identification Services – Support Services (FISS) has created a composite drawing of the male suspect based on descriptions provided by witnesses.

The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times and to be extremely vigilant when approached by unknown individuals. Parents and caregivers of young children should have a discussion with their child about “Stranger Safety” and what to do if confronted by a stranger.
