Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses after a fire at a home in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, shortly before 5:30 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a house on fire on Ava Place, which is located in the area of Nashville Road and Highway 27 in Klienburg. The home was occupied at the time of the incident and two people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  

The scene has been held pending an investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management.

Investigators are asking any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward. Investigators are also seeking video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways around the house at the time of the incident.
