Quinte West charged after police find powdered fentanyl and stolen property


(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Monday, the 18th of September 2017, members of the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a routine traffic stop in the City of Quinte West. After a brief investigation, a quantity of powdered fentanyl and stolen property were seized by officers.

Nicole Swan, 43 years of age of Quinte West was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – section 4(1) CDSA
  • Trafficking in Schedule 1 Substance – section 5(1) CDSA
  • Possession of Stolen Property – section 354(1)(a) CC
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance x 4 – section 145(3) CC

Swan is being held for bail and will appear in Belleville Courts later this afternoon.
