On Thursday, September 7, 2017 at around 10:15 p.m. a 23 year old Brantford man was approached by two unknown males while walking on a pedestrian pathway on Wayne Gretzky Parkway near Henry Street. The two males attacked the victim in an unprovoked manner. Accused #1 struck the victim in the face with a skateboard. Accused #2, encouraged accused #1 to continue attacking the victim.  Accused #1 stole the victim’s cell phone and backpack and assaulted him again with the skateboard.  The accused fled the area on foot. Community Patrol Officers attended the area and shortly after 10:30 p.m. Officers located the accused walking in the area of Stanley Street and Elgin Street.  The two accused were arrested without incident for Robbery. Accused #1 was in possession of the skateboard used during the robbery and the victim’s cellphone. Accused #2 was in possession of the victims backpack.  The victim received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for medical treatment.  The victim’s property was returned to him.

 Accused #1, Daniel Leslie DOLBECK, 23 years of age of Brantford is charged with Robbery.

 Accused #2, Baron Shawn BRADING-SEARLES, 23 years of age of Brantford is charged with Robbery.

 Both were held in custody for a bail hearing.
