Police are looking to identify suspects after shots were fired last night in Whitby.
On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers from Central West Division responded to a weapons call after numerous calls from citizens. Police responded to Dundas Street East and Craydon Road in Whitby after numerous shots were fired at a residential apartment. Police arrived to find one male party with an injury to his arm from flying glass, not a gunshot wound.
The victim a 25-year-old male, was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It is expected that he will make a full recovery.
The investigation is ongoing and police do not believe this was a random incident.
The suspects are described as two males wearing black masks, dressed in dark clothing. They fled the scene in a vehicle.
