Investigators from Peel Regional Police’s Special Victims Unit have arrested a young person believed to be responsible for sexual assault in Mississauga.  

On Friday, September 8, 2017, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a 45 year-old female was sexually assaulted by the suspect on the roadway in the area of Wharton Way and Dundas Street East, Mississauga. The same suspect assaulted a 22 year-old female who was standing on the roadway on the same day at approximately 4:10 p.m. in the area of Dundas Street East and Universal Drive, Mississauga.    

As a result of assistance from the public, a 13 year-old male from Mississauga has been identified and arrested in relation to these incidents. He has been charged with Sexual Assault as well as two counts of Assault.  He will be held pending a bail hearing on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.  

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identity of the Young Person charged in this investigation is protected.
