Toronto Police Service Hold Up would like to make the public aware of two arrests made in 10 bank robbery investigations.

It is alleged that:

  • on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 12:48 p.m., a man wearing sunglasses and a hoodie entered a bank in the Lakeshore Boulevard West and Mimico Avenue area
  • he approached the teller and presented a note demanding cash and that he had a gun
  • he obtained a quantity of money
  • a second suspect was the driver of a getaway vehicle

It is further alleged that:

  • the same male suspects robbed nine other banks in the same manner
  • on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 11:40 a.m., near Jane Street and St. Clair Avenue West
  • Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 11:50 a.m., near Eglinton Avenue West and Marlee Avenue
  • Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 10:57 a.m., near St. Clair Avenue West and Lansdowne Avenue
  • Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 3:05 p.m., near St. Clair Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue
  • Friday, September 1, 2017, at 12:43 p.m., near Allen Road and Rimrock Road
  • Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 3:10 p.m., near Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West
  • Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 12:48 p.m., near Avenue Road and Lawrence Avenue West
  • Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 2:58 p.m., near Weston Road and Finch Avenue West
  • Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 12:25 p.m., near Kipling Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard

On Friday, October 6, 2017, two males were arrested:

A 15-year-old boy, of North York, was charged with:

1. ten counts of Disguise with Intent
2. ten counts of Robbery

Leonardo Peralta, 30, of North York, was charged with:

1. ten counts of Robbery
2. Dangerous Driving

They appeared in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, October 7, 2017.
