(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) – The Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit has concluded an investigation into allegations of fraudulent behaviour at New Sarum Public School in Central Elgin, ON.

In July of 2017 police were alerted by School Council to discrepancies in funds controlled by the Council.

As a result of the investigation, 42-year-old Tracy ARTHUR of Aylmer Ontario has been charged with:

  • Theft over $5,000 contrary to section 334 (a) of the Criminal Code
  • Theft under $5,000 contrary to section 334 (b) of the Criminal Code

The accused was arrested and released without incident.

The accused was scheduled to appear in St. Thomas Criminal Court on the 24 of October. As such the matter is now before the courts.
