On October 9, 2017 shortly before 5:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received several calls about a disturbance in the area of a Darling Street complex. Citizens reported hearing gun shots in the area.
Investigation revealed that three males met up with each other at a parking lot of a Darling Street townhouse complex. The males became involved in a dispute where one male pointed a firearm at another. The dispute escalated and the firearm was discharged. There is no information to suggest that anyone was injured and there is no evidence that property was damaged as a result of a firearm being discharged. Three unidentified males fled the scene prior to police arriving. At the time of the disturbance residents including children were nearby in the area. Detectives from the Major Crime Unit believe that the males are known to each other and that this was not a random act of violence. Detectives seek the identity of the three males involved in this disturbance. The three persons of interest are described as:
Person #1 – Male, tan complexion, 20’s with a slim build, short dark hair, goatee and thin beard, wearing black t-shirt, dark jeans and white shoes, last seen on foot West bound on Stanly Street from the complex
Person #2 – Male, black with a dark complexion, 20’s, medium length black hair, wearing black t-shirt, dark jeans and light colored shoes riding a mountain bike last seen towards Darling Street from the complex
Person #3 – Male, white, 20’s, slim build, blue hoody and brown pants and black shoes and a baseball cap, last seen towards Darling Street from the complex
