Just before 3pm on October 5th, an 89 year old Brampton woman was operating her Toyota Venza in a Stone Road parking lot when it accelerated forward and went through the storefront of a Dairy Queen located in the plaza there.

A passenger in the vehicle received some minor injuries and fortunately no injuries were reported to any pedestrians.

Damage to the storefront is estimated at approximately $75,000 and no charges have been laid.
