In October 2017, Members of the Gangs and Weapons Enforcement Unit received information that a male party had moved back into the City, and was actively selling a mixture of heroin and fentanyl referred to as “popcorn”.

On Thursday October 26th, 2017 shortly after 4:00pm, in the area of Queenston Road and Nash Road, members of the Gangs and Weapons Unit arrested two male parties for drug related offences.

Police discovered one male to be in possession of approximately seven grams of suspected “Popcorn” and a large amount of Canadian currency. The second male was found to be in possession of 116 Fentanyl Patches.

Approximate street value of the seized drugs is estimated at over $30,000.
