The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two arrests in a firearm and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation.

Officers from the 12 Division Neighborhood Enforcement Team and Community Response Unit started an investigation into a man allegedly engaged in the distribution of cocaine and heroin.

As a result of the investigation, CDSA search warrants were sought and granted for a vehicle and residence associated to the man.

On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 3:56 p.m., officers arrested a man in a vehicle in the Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue West area.

It is alleged that:

  • he was found in possession of a large quantity of cocaine and heroin
  • a CDSA search warrant was subsequently executed on a residence, also in the Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue West area
  • another man was located in the residence, and he was also arrested

The following was seized:

  • 1.89 kilos cocaine,
  • 104.29 grams of heroin,
  • 15.82 grams of fentanyl,
  • four loaded firearms
  • Semi auto Taurus 9mm
  • Semi auto 40 cal Smith and Wesson
  • Semi auto 40 cal Smith and Wesson
  • Beretta 765 Semi-auto handgun
  • over $53,000
  • a ballistic bullet-proof vest
  • over 200 rounds of various ammunition

Mark Anthony Brown, 33, and Troy Campbell, 34, both of Toronto, were arrested.

They have been charged with 43 drug- and firearm-related offences.

They were scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, September 28, 2017, 10 am.
