(BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 31, 2017, at approximately 12:05 a.m., an Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 2, Blandford Blenheim Township.

The green Infiniti M45 car was measured to be travelling at 142 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was conducted for Stunt Driving. It was then determined that the driver had consumed alcohol. A roadside breath test was administered and the driver registered a “Fail”. The driver was arrested and taken to Oxford OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the police investigation, Jonathan WEAVER, 51-years-of-age from Toronto, has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and Driving with Over 80 milligrams of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC).

The vehicle was seized for 7 days, and the operator’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.

The accused was released by Promise to Appear and scheduled to attend Woodstock Court on a future date.
