LONDON, ON (October 23, 2017) – A man and woman from London were charged with a total of 44 firearms and drug-related charges between the two of them as a result of an investigation over the weekend.

On Sunday, October 22, 2017, at approximately 5:30 pm, London Police observed a man driving a vehicle in the area of Vancouver Street and Wavell Street. The man was wanted in relation to outstanding warrants with the London Police Service (LPS). The officer activated his emergency lights, attempting to stop the vehicle, however, the driver failed to stop and drove away. Police did not initiate a pursuit, and additional officers attended the area.

Approximately ten minutes later, the vehicle was located and stopped on Dundas Street East. A female and male were arrested without incident.

The following items were seized:

  • 2 x Semi-Automatic firearms
  • 3 x loaded magazine
  • 30 rounds of ammunition
  • 12 x 12mg Hydromorphone
  • 8 x 8mg Dilaudid

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals are charged with a number of Criminal Code of Canada and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges:

Tommy James Waugh, 31, is charged with:

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
  • Flight while pursued by peace officer;
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order x 12;
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance x 2.
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm x 2;
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device or ammunition;
  • Occupy motor vehicle with firearm/etc. x 3;
  • Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm;
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition x 3;
  • Possession of firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime x 2;
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x 2;

Katelyn Della-Mae Moore, 28, is charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon;
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm;
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
  • Occupy motor vehicle with firearm/etc. x 3;
  • Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm;
  • Possession of firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime x 2;
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x 2;
  • Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition x 3;

The two remain in custody at this time and are set to appear in court today in relation to the charges.
