A 44-year-old Millbrook man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm following an investigation.

On the night of October 24, 2017, the accused attended the Peterborough residence of the victim, his female friend. During the visit, it was reported that the accused assaulted the victim. EMS was later called and attended the residence where the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment to her injuries.

On October 25, 2017, the accused attended the police station where, as a result of the investigation, he was placed under arrest.

Jeremy John Bates, 44, of County Road 10, Millbrook, is charged with assault causing bodily harm.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on November 16, 2017.
