Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have released new images along with video of a suspect wanted following multiple thefts of patio furniture from residences in the City of Vaughan.
On Thursday, September 21, 2017, shortly after noon, a suspect is captured on video surveillance driving down Trudeau Drive, which is in the area of Weston Road and Major Mackenzie Drive West. The suspect vehicle drives past a house, stops, then reverses and pulls into a driveway. The suspect exits her vehicle and steals cushions from patio furniture on a front porch and places them in her vehicle. The suspect then steals an outdoor rug and drives away.
Investigators believe this same suspect is responsible for a similar theft that occurred on September 19, 2017, at a residence on Kylemount Court, which is in the area of Dufferin Street and Rutherford Road. In that incident a similar suspect vehicle was observed stopping in front of a residence. A lone female suspect with a similar appearance was seen stealing patio chairs from a front porch, loading them into her vehicle and driving away.
Investigators are releasing new images and surveillance video and seeking public assistance to identify the suspect. A copy of the video is available for viewing below:
