On October 17th, 2017 at approximately 3:00 PM a male entered a bank in Stoney Creek wearing a disguise when he robbed a teller of money. An on duty plain clothes officer was in the area at that time observed the male walking across the parking lot wearing what he believed was a fake beard. The officer continued his observations and when the male exited the bank he arrested the male with the assistance of a civilian.

Shortly after this arrest the bear unit continued their investigation into the robbery and they located a second male who was the driver of the suspects getaway vehicle

On October 16th, 2017 just before 6 PM these same two males were responsible for a robbery that took place at a bank on Upper James Street in Hamilton. At that time the suspect vehicle was seen fleeing from the area of the bank.

No weapon was seen in either of these robberies and no one was injured

Charged:

Todd Bonar 32 year old male of Hamilton Robbery X 2, Disguise with intent X 2
David Pauls 37 year old male of Hamilton Robbery X 2

Both males were held for a bail hearing.
