(Nipissing, ON) – On October 19, at 9:48 p.m., officers from the Powassan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a residence in Nipissing to remove a male from the residence and investigate a breach of conditions.

When officers attended the residence the suspect jumped out of the window and ran into the forest.

The OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine were called to assist with the search. After a short track, officers located the male and placed him under arrest.

A 23 year old male from Kitchener has been charged with 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code.

The accused has been held for bail court on October 20, 2017, at the Ontario Court of Justice North Bay.
