(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – On October 4, 2017, at approximately 11:53 a.m., officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence on Trott Boulevard in the Town of Collingwood where a person was located deceased.
At this time, officers from Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) continue their investigation into this death under the direction of Detective Inspector Peter Donnelly and Detective Staff Sergeant Paul Rosato of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
A post-mortem was conducted on October 5, 2017 at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Services (OCC-OFPS) in Toronto.
The deceased has been identified as Donna WALC, 73 years old, of Collingwood. The cause of death is not being released at this time.
