(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a single motor vehicle collision at a Charlotteville West ¼ Line Road, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, October 7, 2017, at approximately 5:21 a.m., OPP, Norfolk County Fire and Rescue Services and Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision.
Through the course of the investigation, it has determined that a pickup truck was travelling northbound on Charlotteville West ¼ Line Road and when the truck left the roadway entering the west ditch colliding with a tree. The vehicle subsequently caught fire which was extinguished by attending firefighters.
As a result, emergency personnel located 30-year-old Matthew O’DONNELL of Norfolk County, Ontario deceased.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators and the OPP Forensic Identification Section assisted with the investigation.
