(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On October 24th, 2017, officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a 26-year-old male for several sex-related offences.

Detectives from Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch and the Quinte West OPP Crime Unit worked collaboratively on an investigation after complaints were received from members of the public regarding inappropriate actions by the 26-year-old.

As a result of the investigation Tanner NERON, 26, of Quinte West has been charged with:

  • Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age — Sec 271 Criminal Code
  • Sexual Interference with a person under 16 years of age – Sec 151 Criminal Code
  • Make Sexually Explicit Material available to a Person Under 16 yrs of age — Sec 171.1(1)(b) Criminal Code
  • Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16 yrs of Age – Sec 173(2) Criminal Code
  • Luring a Person Under 16 years of age by means of Telecommunication – Sec 172.1(1)(b) Criminal Code

The 26-year-old male was held for a bail hearing on October 24th, 2017, at the Ontario Court of Justice 15 Bridge Street West, Belleville.
