(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a single-vehicle crash on Calabogie Road that has claimed the life of one male.  Three other males involved in the collision are in hospital with injuries with 1 listed in critical condition. All males were 18 years of age.

A motorist called 9-1-1 shortly after midnight on Friday, October 27 when they discovered the single vehicle collision on Calabogie Road approx. 2 km south of the Village of Burnstown. Police, paramedics and firefighters from McNab Braeside Township responded to the scene. The collision involved a 2006 car. Several of the occupants had been ejected. One male was pronounced dead at the scene. One male was transported to the hospital by Ornge Air Ambulance, and two males were transported by paramedics to the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Brandon Thomas HANNIMAN 18 years of age of Admaston Bromley Township.

Two OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are assisting investigators with this investigation, which is being led by the Ontario Coroner’s Office.
