The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests made in a series of violent robberies targeting residences that operated as massage parlours.

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 4:30 a.m., officers responded to a call for a robbery in the Dundas Street West and Bathurst Street area.

It is alleged that:

  • three men went into a multi-unit home armed with handguns
  • they demanded money from the women inside
  • one of the men assaulted a woman by choking her
  • she was then sexually assaulted
  • the three men fled with a quantity of cash and personal belongings

On Monday, September 4, 2017, at 2:47 am., officers responded to a call for a robbery in the Danforth Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue area.

It is further alleged that:

  • two men forced their way into a home
  • they forced a woman down to the ground and ransacked her apartment
  • she was assaulted during the robbery
  • the men obtained a quantity of cash and fled

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, Jonathan Anderson, 22, of Oshawa, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) three counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, Param Budhwar, 25, of Oshawa, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) three counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2) Robbery
3) Overcome Resistance by Choking
4) Forcible Confinement
5) two counts of Disguise with Intent
6) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, Cordel Mingo Adams, 25, of Pickering, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) three counts of Robbery with a firearm
3) Robbery
4) Forcible Confinement
5) two counts of Disguise with Intent
6) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

They all appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 10 a.m., in room 101.
