Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit have released surveillance video and are seeking assistance to identify a suspect following a robbery at a gas station in the City of Vaughan.
On Saturday, October 7, 2017, shortly before midnight, York Regional Police responded to a gas station in the area of Highway 7 West, west of Highway 27, for a report of a robbery. A suspect walked into the gas station, went behind the counter and demanded cash. The employee was struck with an object that the male suspect had in his hand that was covered by a white cloth. The victim complied with the demand and the suspect fled the area on foot.
Investigators are also looking to identify a woman, considered to be a person of interest, who was at the counter during the robbery. The surveillance video is available for viewing below:
• Male, 25 to 30
• Brown skin
• Thin build
• Wearing a black and white bandanna, a black hoodie, light-colored jeans, black shoes and black gloves
• Carrying a small bag with shoulder strap and an unknown object concealed by white cloth
Person of Interest:
• Female, approximately 25
• Brown skin
• Medium build
• Dark hair, tied back
• Wearing a blue-and-white scarf
