Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are appealing to witnesses to come forward following the death of a man in the City of Markham.  

On Monday, October 9, 2017, shortly before 5 p.m., York Regional Police received a report that a man was unconscious and in need of medical assistance on Stirling Crescent. When officers arrived, they located a 30-year-old man, suffering from injuries. He was transported to hospital where sadly he succumbed to those injuries.

While the investigation is in its early stages, investigators believe the death is suspicious. At this time the cause of death has yet to be determined.

Investigators have been interviewing witnesses and will be following up on information gained through this co-operation. Any additional witnesses that may have seen or heard anything in the area of Stirling Crescent are asked to contact police. Investigators are also appealing to any nearby businesses or residences that may have video surveillance to please come forward.
