The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

  • between September 2015 and September 2017, a man befriended a family, gained their trust, and began acting in a caregiver capacity to the children
  • he used his position of trust to sexually assault the children over a period of time

On Thursday, October 5, 2017, Kevin Marsh, 40, of Toronto and surrounding area, was arrested by officers from the Child and Youth Advocacy Centre.

He was charged with:

1) four courts of Assault
2) Invitation to Sexual Touching
3) four counts of Sexual Assault
4) four counts of Sexual Interference
5) Threatening Bodily Harm

He appeared in court at College Park on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.

It is further alleged that:

  • between May 2012 and September 2014, the same man befriended a different family, gained their trust and subsequently used his position of trust to sexually assault a child over a period of time

On Wednesday, November 1, 2017, Kevin Marsh, 40, of Toronto and surrounding area, was arrested by officers from the Child and Youth Advocacy Centre.

He was charged with:

1) Invitation to Sexual Touching
2) Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child
3) two counts of Sexual Assault
4) two counts of Sexual Interference
5) Fail to Comply with Recognizance

He appeared in court at College Park on Thursday, November 2, 2017.

His next court appearance is scheduled at Old City Hall on Thursday, November 16, 2017, 10 a.m., room J.

Police are concerned there may be other victims.
