(LEEDS, ON.) –   Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped an impaired driver after an investigation.

On November 10, 2017, at about 4:00 AM Leeds O.P.P officers were conducting patrol on Highway 401 in Front of Yonge Township when a westbound vehicle was observed driving 92 km/hr over the speed limit. The investigation revealed that the driver was suspended and impaired by alcohol.

30-year-old Denis LAPENSEE of Ottawa, Ontario is scheduled to answer to an Impaired Driving, Driving with Over 80 Mgs of Alcohol in his Blood, and a Dangerous Driving charge at the Ontario Court of Justice – Provincial Division, Brockville on December 15, 2017. Further charges of Stunt Driving and Suspended Driving are scheduled to be heard at a later date in Provincial Offences Court, Brockville.
