A 35-year-old local man was arrested after attacking his wife and threatening to kill her.
On November 3, 2017 the victim and accused were in their residence when the accused became confrontational and suddenly grabbed the victim by her throat. When the accused finally released the victim he threw her down and grabbed her by the arm while threatening to break it and kill her. When he let the victim go a second time, she was able to call police. Officers responded and found the accused walking around outside with no shirt and heavily intoxicated.
The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.
Further investigation revealed a previously unreported incident from October 28, 2017. While the two were in their residence the accused broke a glass and held a glass shard against the victim’s neck while threatening to kill her.
The accused was charged with assault with a weapon, two counts of utter threats to cause death, assault, and two counts of breach probation.
