Man charged with sexual assault of a child at Collingwood Walmart


(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Detectives from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, with the assistance from members of Collingwood OPP, Southern Georgian Bay OPP and OPP Regional Support Team, have now arrested a male in relation to a sexual assault incident which took place at a store in Collingwood.

The incident took place on the afternoon of Sunday, October 22, 2017, at the Walmart store in Collingwood where the suspect approached a child and proceeded to sexually assault the child. The Investigation has now led to the arrest of a male who is charged with various criminal offences.

Charged is 34-year-old Isaac BEATON of Tiny Township, he is charged with Sexual Interference with a Person Under 16 Years of Age, Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 Years of Age and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on October 31 2017.
