(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is investigating following a break and enter at an elementary school on Fairview Avenue in Dunnville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at 6:26 a.m., OPP responded to Fairview Avenue School after a staff member noticed a window had been broken and items were scattered throughout the hallways and classrooms.

OPP investigation, thus far, has determined that on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, between 3:00 a.m. and 4:53 a.m., unknown(s) attended the school property through the construction site fence, and then proceeded to the school building where they forced entry into the school by breaking a window.

Once inside the school, unknown(s) scattered items throughout the hallways and classrooms before removing a quantity of Dell tablets.

Further investigation determined that two construction vehicles on the property also had windows, seats and mirrors damaged.

OPP continue to investigate.

OPP reminds the public to report any suspicious persons or vehicles.
