Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged three young persons in a series of street robberies.

Between the dates of Friday August 18, 2017 and Sunday October 29, 2017, a number of street robberies occurred in the city of Mississauga. The culprits would approach various victims on the street; produce a weapon and demand property or money from the victims. During some instances the victims sustained minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, three young persons have been arrested and charged.

A 16 year-old male from Mississauga was arrested on Sunday October 29, 2017 and was charged with eight counts of Robbery. He was held for a bail hearing on Monday October 30, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

A 17 year-old male from Mississauga was arrested on Monday October 30, 2017 and was charged with one count of Robbery. He was held for a bail hearing on Monday October 30, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

A 15 year-old male from Mississauga was arrested on Sunday November 5, 2017 and was charged with nine counts of Robbery. He was held for a bail hearing on Monday November 6, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identities of the Young Persons charged in this investigation are protected.
