LONDON, ON (November 9, 2017) – On Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at approximately 10:15 pm, police and EMS attended a residence on Springbank Drive near Seawood Avenue in response to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a man with a gunshot wound and a second who had sustained minor injuries as a result of an altercation. Both males were transported to the hospital.
The investigation has revealed that three males entered the home, each in possession of a weapon. The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. Descriptions of the suspects are as follows:
- Male, black, approximately 6’5”, thin build, wearing a black toque, black clothing and a yellow jacket
- Male, white, in his 20s, slim build, approximately 5’5”, wearing a black jacket with hood
- Male, indigenous, in his 20s, medium build, approximately 5’8”, wearing a black face mask.
The shooting victim sustained serious injuries.
Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident and it was not a random event.
The investigation has been turned over to the Major Crime Section.
