On December 5, 2017, at approximately 7:30 a.m. police received a 911 call from a distraught male who made mention of having a gun at a residence on Graceland Avenue.
Patrol officers were dispatched and the Kingston Police Emergency Response unit was called out. Officers set up containment and made entry into the residence.
A 76-year-old man and his 78-year-old wife, both with gunshot wounds, were located in an upstairs room. The female was found deceased on police arrival. The male was transported to the hospital by paramedics with life-threatening injuries but has since succumbed to his injuries.
A handgun has been seized and police suspect the male was responsible for the injuries to both parties. With the male now deceased, the investigation falls under the jurisdiction of the Connors office with Kingston Police assisting.
