(LEEDS, ON.) –   On December 4, 2017, members of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Leeds OPP Crime Unit and OPP Regional Support Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Junetown Road in Front of Yonge Township.

The warrant stemmed from an incident on November 29, 2017, and resulted in a number of firearms-related offences being laid.

22 year old Tim LAFIRST of Rideau Lakes Township was arrested and faces charges of Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited, Possession of Ammunition while Prohibited, Careless Use of a Firearm, Pointing a Firearm, 2 counts of Weapons Dangerous, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Uttering Threats, Break and Enter, and Mischief under $5000.

He remains in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville.
